Anti-inflammatory fresh turmeric, ginger and maca root latte recipe
Ingredients
1 cup of milk of choice
Thumb sized piece of fresh turmeric*
Thumb sized piece of fresh ginger*
1 tbsp of grass-fed collagen powder
1 tsp of maca root
a pinch of black pepper**
1/2 tsp coconut oil/ghee**
1 tsp of maple syrup (optional)
Cinnamon (to sprinkle on top)
Instructions
Add milk to a saucepan with grated turmeric and ginger. Heat until simmering.
Add the collagen powder, black pepper, coconut oil/ghee and maca powder and combine with a whisk.
Strain into a mug through a small sieve.
Add optional maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon.
*These can be substituted for ginger/turmeric powder.
**For optimal absorption, turmeric should be paired with a fat source and a pinch of black pepper.
