Anti-inflammatory fresh turmeric, ginger and maca root latte recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of milk of choice

  • Thumb sized piece of fresh turmeric*

  • Thumb sized piece of fresh ginger*

  • 1 tbsp of grass-fed collagen powder

  • 1 tsp of maca root

  • a pinch of black pepper**

  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil/ghee**

  • 1 tsp of maple syrup (optional)

  • Cinnamon (to sprinkle on top)


Instructions

  1. Add milk to a saucepan with grated turmeric and ginger. Heat until simmering.

  2. Add the collagen powder, black pepper, coconut oil/ghee and maca powder and combine with a whisk.

  3. Strain into a mug through a small sieve.

  4. Add optional maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon.

*These can be substituted for ginger/turmeric powder.

**For optimal absorption, turmeric should be paired with a fat source and a pinch of black pepper.
